Alright people. Let's get code crunching! This here is a list of codes of all the known codes and cheats for Sonic games. More will be added.

At the title screen to the game, hold down button A, press Up, Down, Left and Right. You will hear a chime. While still holding A, press Start. You will open the Act Select.

At the title screen to the game, press Up, C, Down, C, Left, C, Right. You'll hear a chime. Hold down A and press Start. Once you start your game, press B and you'll change into an object. Press A to cycle through the objects in the Zone, and press C to place it. Once done, press B again to change back. You can do many things now, so mess with it and have fun!

At the title screen to the game, press up on the D-pad to find Options. Press Start. Once there, go to the Sound Test option, and play these songs in the exact order of 19, 65, 09, 17. You will hear a chime. Press Start to return to the title screen. While holding button A, press Start. You will open the Act Select.

While in the Act Select, go the the Sound Test option at the bottom of the level list. Play these songs: 04, 02, 06. You will hear a Chaos Emerald fanfare. Select a level and press Start. Once there, collect 50 Rings, and jump. You will transform into Super Sonic! You are now running at max speed and you're invincible against Badniks. You can still be squished and sucumb to lack of air underwater though. You also must keep watch on the Rings you have, as they deplete every second. Be careful about running out of time and air, as they will still affect you. So will running out of air.

In the Act Select, play songs: 01, 09, 09, 02, 01, 01, 02, 04. You will hear a chime. Next, highlight a Zone/Act you want to go to, hold A and press Start. See Sonic 1's section for information on how to use Edit Mode.

In the Options or Act Select, play songs: 01,02,04. You will hear a chime. Now you have 14 continues.

When Sonic comes dashing into the screen after the SEGA jingle plays, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Up, Up, Up, Up. This is a VERY tricky code and you have to be quick. Listen carefully for a chime. If you hear it, at the title screen to the game, press up on the D-pad to find Sound Test. Press Start. You will open the Act Select. Practice is the only way to get this right, so don't give up!

While in the Act Select, select a level, hold A and press Start. Once there, follow the commands listed in Sonic 1's section. There is a monitor sprite in the list of objects you can place on the field. Place the monitor and jump on it. You will transform into Super Sonic! Same rules apply to Sonic 3's Super Sonic as they do on Sonic 2's.

Enter either Mushroom Hill or Angel Island. In Mushroom Hill, jump up on a pully machine (MH) or a swinging vine (AI), and press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Left, Right, Right. You will hear a chime. Pause the game and press A. The game will reset back to the title screen. Press Up to find Sound Test and press Start again. You will enter the Act Select.

To activate Edit mode, go back to either Mushroom Hill or Angel Island and perform the same action. Go back to the Act Select, highlight a Zone/Act, hold A and press Start. The functions are the same as all the other games, except if you press A in normal mode, Sonic will flip upside down! Be careful not to be in a place with no ceiling, because the top of the screen will become a bottomless pit. Super Sonic is obtained the same way as in regular Sonic 3.
