SegaSonic Station / Update Archive

Febuary 8, 2003
Coming soon, Sunset Valley will be merging with the SegaSonic Station. This will allow us to better serve the Sonic and Rockman community since we can combine our efforts. The site will likely undergo major changes, and though I am proud of the work I have done on my own to this site, nothing can stay as is forever. I am certain that our combined power will make this site more than it ever could be alone. I will keep you updated on the situation and as always, feel free to submit any art, music, games or stories you've made. We have always been and always will be a site by fans, for fans!

Sorry it's taking so long to get underway on the merger, but much work is being done offline and until it is done, I will keep the current site online. I never liked the idea of taking down a site while working on it online. It is always much easier to work on your computer and run the site from your hard drive before uploading, heh.

If you were working on a new top banner for us, feel free to submit it. There's no telling when the merger will be complete and I would still love to post anything you can create if it wins. Contact info is on the main page, send submissions to SolarTails.

Just letting you know we're still alive. As always, submit any Sonic or Megaman art, midis, games, anything. We still plan on the site merger, but things have been a tad hectic lately, so it's slowing work down. I would add new things to the site in the mean time to keep things alive, but that's rather hard to do without submitions, heh. Even after the site merger, we'll still be the same site, so whatever you send now or have sent in the past will still be up. The merge is really just me and my friend combining both our sites into one, so we can work better. Both our sites are fan sites that display information and fan stuff, so the only real change you'll see is a new layout, possible name change and an improoved site ^^

Ack, all these ads are annoying! I close one and one or 2 more spawn in it's place! I'm all for ads when using free services but this is both rediculous and annoying. Opening my guest book alone spawned 4 ads. 2 pop-ups and 2 respawns. Hopefully this is just an Angelfire Glitch, cause half these ads seem to be the ones that Spawn for Tripod I know they're part of the same company, but Angelfire usually only gets Angelfire ads, lol. Once the new site layout and such is completed, The advertisments should greatly decrease since we'll be using our own scripting. So please bare with us in the mean time. Again I appologise for the long wait.

Okay, minor updates. I've been going around the site removing some new problems that Angelfire's errors have been causing. Like that --> thing that's appeared on every page. Unfortuatly, the only way to avoid that was to remove the BODY code from many pages and replace it with style sheets. What's this mean to you? Practicly nothing unless you are using an older version of Internet explorer. I noticed when I still had 5.0 that half the style sheet features still worked, Like Backgrounds, but font colors might mess up if you do not have a newer version. I appologise and once Sunset Valley and SegaSonic Station finish the merger, that will all be fixed and all versions of IE will be supported. The only other noticable change I made was to remove the jukebox for now. It has almost no music still and is rather annoying as a pop-up and easy to confuse as a pop-up ad. This too had been perfected for the merger. ^^
